Catalyst Fine Art
In 2022, I stepped into the vibrant world of Catalyst Fine Art as a Digital Marketing Student. The gallery was fresh, full of potential, and ready to make its mark on the Pacific Northwest art community from its historic space inside The Lodge at St. Edward State Park. What began as a student project transformed into a four-year journey of professional growth, strategic brand building, and creative storytelling. From their grand-opening, a brief intermission from 2023-2024, then through 2026, I have had the privilege of serving as their marketing consultant, shaping the digital voice of the gallery across social media, email newsletters, and website content.
Instead of just creating content day-to-day, my initial focus was longevity. I built a sustainable digital marketing foundation from scratch, designing custom visual templates and structured content workflows that matched the gallery’s high-end aesthetic. This allowed us to keep communication consistent across channels without draining the small team’s creative resources, ensuring that the digital gallery felt just as welcoming and sophisticated as the physical space.
Amplifying Community and Culture on Social Media
As the gallery’s presence matured, I shifted my focus toward high-impact event promotions and targeted campaigns on Facebook and Instagram. Art is inherently visual and deeply personal, so our social media strategy had to reflect that depth. I developed tailored social campaigns for major seasonal milestones, driving substantial local engagement and foot traffic to the gallery's two-level exhibition space:
Women in the Arts Campaigns: I highlighted empowering artist spotlights and curated digital galleries on Instagram to honor female creators, telling the deep personal stories behind their canvases to connect them directly with regional collectors. Additionally, I generated a blog post to cover achievements that Women artists are making in the art community.
Art Markets & Christmas Markets: Executed multi-week social media pushes for seasonal events like the Holiday Arts Market. These campaigns featured countdown teasers, vendor highlights, and gift guides that successfully turned digital followers into real-world attendees and buyers.
Bringing the Creative Process to Life
Beyond promoting exhibitions, I used digital platforms to pull back the curtain on the artistic process itself, highlighting interactive gallery workshops. A standout moment in our content strategy was promoting live markets and artists in residence events, music by Andre Ferianto and a local student choir group, and workshops with renowned artists like Pam Ingalls.
Looking back from 2022 to 2026, this collaboration has been a cornerstone of my professional journey. I grew from a student into a strategic marketing consultant, while Catalyst Fine Art grew into a thriving cultural hub. By blending structured digital architecture with the fluid beauty of fine art, we built a digital presence that will continue to catalyze community connection for years to come.
